INDLU Gifts was founded by sisters Raine and Tristan, driven by their shared love for South African culture and craftsmanship. The word INDLU (pronounced IN-dloo), means Home in 4 of the official South African languages, reflecting the essence of what they do - connecting South Africans abroad with their loved ones back home.

After moving to the Netherlands ten years ago, Raine struggled to find high-quality, meaningful gifts for her nearest and dearest back in South Africa. After too many impersonal flower deliveries, she envisioned a solution. A company that would offer South Africans abroad, a way to send beautiful, locally designed gifts back home.

Tristan, with her design background and keen eye for detail, was the perfect partner to bring this vision to life. She carefully sources local trades and artisanal endeavours, ensuring that each gift not only boosts the South African design community but also carries a piece of the country's heart and soul.
